Infrastructure - The Vital Ingradients
LIBRARY
Our Library has more than 34000 volumes of books and 109 National and International Journals are subscribed. The library is supported by E-Library which extends facilities to access books and various International Journals. Library has a unique book lending scheme for all the students.
LABORATORIES
The Institution has provided all the laboratories and workshops fully equipped with equipment and machinery as prescribed in the syllabi..
COMPUTING FACILITIES
Separate computer labs are provided to all the departments. There are 450 systems and 50 printers. All the systems are connected with local area network (LAN).
INTERNET FACILITIES
All the computer centers are provided with 24 Hrs. Internet facilities through fast broadband leased line. HOSTELS: Separate hostels for Boys & Girls are provided. The boys hostel is located with in the premises of college campus.
CANTEEN
A canteen is provided with in the campus of the Institution. The canteen provides fresh nutritious food at nominal rates.
MINERAL WATER PLANT
A mineral water plant is provided in the Institution. It also supplies pure water to the canteen and the boy's hostel.
TRANSPORT
The Institution has its own fleet of vehicles of 10 buses, 1 Van and 3 cars for the transport of the students and the staff. The APSRTC is also plying no. of buses via Institution.
POWER SUPPLY
The Institution has HT power supply and generators are provided to over come the power cuts and power interruptions.
SPORTS & GAMES
Full facilities are provided for indoor and outdoor games under the supervision of fulltime qualified Physical Director.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP
To integrate software and hardware knowledge, a practical exposure is provided through a separate lab for Information Technology.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMMUNICATION SKILLS LAB
To improve the communication skills in English language, a separate computer centre is established. Suitable software has been acquired as prescribed in the First year B. Tech Course.
JAWAHAR KNOWLEDGE CENTER
SVITS is one of 32 colleges in the state selected in 2004 - 05 for hosting JKC programmers initiated through IEG. This year envisaged the coverage of many students of different disciplines. This has helped the Institute to establish rapport with Multi-national and National companies/organizations, for placement & recruitment, as per their needs. The Institute training & placement cell coordinates the JKC activities and establishes sound rapport and regularly interacts with companies / organization for campus interviews. So a Tata consultancy services, Infosys, Satyam, Wipro, IBM, GMP, CSSI, GTN Textiles, Pitti Laminations etc. have conducted campus interviews and selected candidates for recruitment. The training & placement programme help in career planning, personality development, Industry Institution interaction entrepreneurship.
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE LECURE SCHEDULES & COURSE FILES
The faculties prepare Lecture Schedules & Course files well before the Commencement of course work.
IN-HOUSE STUDENT SEMINARS
The students are guided to prepare papers for in house seminars to enable them to present Technical Papers for Competitions.
CLASS REVIEW COMMITTEE
This committee will oversee academic matters, career planning and over all personality development of the students.
E-CLASS ROOM
An Electronic Class Room is provided with LCD - Projector & Video cassettes / CD playing facilities, Mana TV.
INTERNAL ACADEMIC AUDIT
Internal academic audit is a continuous process to monitor the Institutional Progress.
STUDENTS COUNSELING
To bestow personal attention on the progress of the students and guide the students, counseling is a regular feature for self evaluation and planning for betterment.
INTERACTION WITH PARENTS / GUARDINS
Intimation is sent to the parents at regular intervals regarding academic / overall progress of their ward, and they are welcome to ascertain the overall performance from the concerned faculty members.
EXPOSURE TO INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT
Industrial visits are organized to expose the students to practical environment to enable the students to integrate theory and practice.
